Boston’s own Billboard-charting quartet won the hearts of fans and judges alike as finalists on "America's Got Talent" with emotionally stirring interpretations of pop music, arranged with a unique blend of vocals, harp, piano, and cello. Serendipity brought these four friends together in graduate school at Boston University but talent, dedication, and a desire to share their music with the world rocketed them to fame. Collaborations with the Boston Pops, the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra are notable; their intimate, acoustic experiences are truly special.

Saturday January 14, 2023 at the Old Theater, 7:30 pm www.pipmusic.org Selected by Midori to perform in this Young Artist Recital, Nathan Meltzer, violin, and Umi Garrett, piano, are highly acclaimed classical soloists, orchestral and chamber musicians on the world stage. Both child prodigies and recent Julliard School of Music graduates, Garrett began playing piano at the age of four and released her first album at the age of nine. Meltzer began playing violin at the age of 8 and is a student of Li Lin and Itzhak Perlman. This performance is made possible in part by the non-profit organization Partners in Performance, which awarded the Pamlico Musical Society a concert by Midori, presented last season, and this season’s Young Artist Recital. Founded by Midori, Partners in Performance aims to energize interest in classical music, specifically in smaller communities in the United States outside the radius and without the financial resources of major urban centers. Discounted tickets for current members are available for purchase by ordering here.
Advance tickets for non-members are available for purchase by ordering here.
For the 2022-23 season, we will offer full refunds for any reason up to 24 hours before the concert. If we need to reschedule a concert due to government restrictions, ticket holders can hold onto their tickets for the new date, donate the cost of the tickets to PMSO, or request a full refund.
All ticket prices include North Carolina 6.75% sales tax.
